Beartown by Fredrik Backman

Post by RabidFox »

While I have read other books by Fredrik Backman, I have not yet read Beartown. A Man Called Ove, Britt-Marie Was Here, and My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry are humorous, while And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer is serious. He has another book called The Deal of a Lifetime, but I have not read that one yet. So anyway I am very familiar with his writing style, but I am not sure what to make of this particular novel, that is Beartown.

Is it funny? Is it serious? Is it uplifting? Is it sad? Does it live up to the quality of his other works? I'm wanting to read it, but not sure what to expect. I like to at least know the basics about what I am going to read before spending money on anything.
