Thanks for the great review! I also noticed some errors in the book, it was a little difficult to tell some of the errors apart from how the author was portraying the characters thoughts.

This sounds like an important and realistic look at mental health and substance abuse issues in rural America. Thanks for the review and to the author for the book.

Coming from a small town myself I can relate to this story. I read a few pages and found the description of Les's visions very confronting and detailed, as he reconciles them with the rest of his young life. It will be interesting to see how these visions play into the rest of the story. I also like that the characters are quite gritty and realistic. I didn't notice too many grammatical or editing errors in the pages I read, so I'll continue reading it!

I think I could relate to some of the themes in the story. However, I don't usually read this type of book, so I will pass on it. Thanks for your review.

Friendship amidst such dark themes as addiction and mental illness, coupled with prophetic dreams... This seems like a good recipe for something interesting. I'm gonna give it a try.

The opening threw me. It came across as a poor attempt at being Jack Kerouac. I may give it another try later.

Great review. It summarizes the essence of the story. I wouldn't read it because the story doesn't appeal to me and because I'm not too keen on grammar and formatting issues. But either way, I like when people take their life experiences with drug and mental illness to raise awareness.

Glad to see that the characters are relateable and real. For me, characters can make or break the story so finding good characters is always great! I'll be glad to give it a try.

Hopefully the author will have this novel professionally edited; it sounds like he really brings the small town aura to life. I’m glad this book touches on tough themes like mental illness. Sounds like a thought provoking story!

From a sample, I found that this story has been crafted around this small town setting. The author's illustration of mental illnesses and how the main character develops demonstrates the author's writing ability. Well done.

What an intriguing review! I’m particularly interested in reading further to see some of the specific ways the relevant struggles of addiction - especially in a small town setting - are addressed.

There are significant themes delved in this story. It's amazing how this author manages to use such serious themes and make the story seem so real. I'm curious about how the characters dealt with their tragedy, but too bad about the many errors in the story.

I'm always up for books which discuss what is considered taboo in our current society. Will add this to my reading list!
