Thanks for the review, articulately done. The author sounds to be on top of his game with the plot, mix of themes, all done with a 'breezy' writing style. What I liked about it the most is the fact that there is always hope for a better life, wherever anyone is in life. I would definitely love to read Small Changes.

Thank you for the review of this book because it actually gives me the zeal to start reading the book. The book is character-driven novel and I do love character-driven novel because its never boring. I wonder if lzzy will leave Jim for Sean and if she does, then its great change for her because its serve as a cross for her. Jim therapy section is really bringing out his true character.
The author of this book did great work, I love the book.

The relatable characters sound like a real strength of this book; Izzy seems to really come to life. Based on her Citizens' Advice experience and the corruption, the meaning of the title clearly works on different levels.

A good character-driven novel is my favorite kind. I also liked when you mentioned the plot twists that dont let you veered off from the track of the story. This seems to be an exciting adventure worthy to be on my to-read list. Thanks for the review!

Great details. I can only imagine how she felt with a borderline alcoholic husband. Sounds like she realized the importance of family. Volunteers empathetically at the centre. The review was really good. Thanks!

I like that Izzy comes off as a strong woman who sees the need to better her husband's alcoholism. The fact that she successfully juggles college, work and marriage life also makes her a role model for people going through similar situations.
