This sounds like a cozy book. Makes me long for a rainy weekend with nothing to do but read. I like the idea of the little glimpses into Jim's therapy sessions at the end of each chapter. I find it unusual, but an interesting way to make the "horrible husband" more relatable and sympathetic. Great review!

Thanks Kat Berg! I wouldn't describe Jim as horrible, but he certainly is a disappointment. He is realistically written as a man who drinks too much yet doesn't fully grasp that he has a problem.

This sounds like a really engrossing book, with great character development and writing. I really like the cover, too. I think a lot of books miss the mark with poor cover design. I will add this to my Want to Read bookshelf. Thanks for an excellent review!

Good book I think the writer has taken long time to right it but I think it is one of the best books but some spelling mistakes 2

I really enjoy memoirs, stories of personal growth, therapy, development, and life enrichment... and it sounds like this book has all of that! I am glad to read that it is highly rated and has well developed characters. I have already downloaded it and am looking forward to reading!

Sounds like Izzy is an interesting character. Jim sounds like a troubled one. Overall, the book seems well developed and involved.

Thanks for your review! I love a novel with multidimensional, well-constructed characters and you got me with that, especially about Izzy and the snippets of therapy sessions, I think that´s an interesting resource into a character´s mind.

Books with well developed character always entice me, you can never afford to miss a book whose characters have been endowed with life. I have already downloaded my copy and added it to my TBR list. Going to read it soon. Thanks for the review though, it really is insightful.

Thanks for your review! I appreciate that the author rounds out Jim, the alcoholic husband, instead of leaving him as a flat character.

Amazing general fiction novel with a captivating plot and a unique protagonist to look up to. I loved reading this book and found it free on Amazon. The onlinebookclub review of the book was masterfully written and made me rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.
