I have not heard about the massacre that took place and would be interested to see how it affected these families. I can't even imagine! I'll look into this one. Thanks so much!

I find it completely out of order that a person would choose to put to death such many people only because they are in the opposition. The number reaching 30000 is completely saddening and it is worse given that it has been hidden by the succeeding governments. The review is nicely done.

Such a powerful and emotional story. I'm sure this would be hard to read but I would love to give it a go! The review captures the intensity of this story and makes it very appealing.

I imagine that it must have been a difficult experience to write such a book given the tragic circumstances surrounding the story.
Most probably, one feels the same while reading. I will dive into that thrilling read as soon as I can. Your review is descriptive enough, so two thumbs up!

Thank you, and thanks for reading! It seems like this laundry could do with a little airing :lol2:

Kudos to you, you were aware of more than I. I hope more people will take the time to learn about what happened there.

I agree! I actually read a book that touched on Zimbabwe's history after reading this one, and I noticed many similarities. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!

Yes, I was BLOWN away by the numbers. I found myself researching this drama after reading the book and it just got more and more sad the deeper I went down the rabbit hole. :cry2:

I really enjoy the cover art. I was drawn to it from the beginning and after reading I truly appreciated the power behind the statement. I think it's one of the most fitting covers I've seen in some time.
