In a book where the boundaries of friendship are being pushed and tested, love and resilience are being tested every single moment. Which will prevail? Blood or love? Will familial ties or friendship weigh more when facing life challenges?

"Logan’s Legacy," written by Dak Kopec, is the continuation of the first book of the 'Broken Boys' series. The story orbits around two best friends and couple, Logan Vandermark and Blake Roberts, whose inseparable connection is their strength and their greatest weakness. When Kirsti comes into the picture, Logan’s life takes a drastic turn as he learns he now has a son, Cole, and a grandson, Parker. Decisions then have to be made, but at the expense of what????

With Kirsti’s death and Cole’s accident, the tension between Logan and Cole eases a bit. When the battle for the custody of Parker between the Vandermarks and the Richardsons—Parker's conservative maternal family—causes a lot of twists due to Cole's emerging identity as a gay, the strength of the family is tested.

This book masterfully travels through the world of trauma, healing, and the deep intricacies of human relationships, which explains the book as an emotional rollercoaster. Dak Kopek also highlights socio-cultural partialities such as gay rights and the pure definition of unconditional love no matter which gender.

The book is generally enthralling, lacks errors, and keeps the readers wanting to know what’s next. The author showcases epic craftsmanship with the development and skillful intertwining of the themes. The book might offend people who find relationships between people of the same gender improper, therefore most suitable for mature readers with a high level of sexual tolerance. I also recommend it to lovers of family dramas and heartfelt stories centered around love and sacrifice.

I'll rate “Logan’s Legacy” 5 stars out of 5 stars for the author's skillful development of a compelling narrative. Without reading the first book in the series, I encountered no challenges while reading this book. I also found nothing to objectively dislike about the book.
