This is a great book for Veterans Day weekend. I like that there are flashbacks from past to present without making the story confusing. Great review!

I like your review and the quote that you included at the end. I agree that we are all like gumbo and I like that analogy better than the salad analogy. I am very surprised at how much you enjoyed this book to the point that you were not searching for errors. I also like that Molly does something unexpected and joins the military rather than going to art school.

There are very few books that have anything to do with the military that I will read. I wasn't even particularly compelled to read this one based on the Amazon summary. However, your review really makes an impact. I will definitely have to go check out the sample now to see if this one is for me. The inclusion of Molly's photography seems quite unique.

Hmmm. I don't usually enjoy military fiction for a number of reasons but there might be something worth checking out in this one.
I was born with a reading list I will never finish.

Molly Monroe must have taken a bold move to join the Marine Corp. I wonder what inspired the move. And true, a great story riddled with errors is kinda boring and distractive. Am glad to know that this book is well edited. I want to read the book. What a solid and informative review!! Thank you.

The title and description on this one didn't really call to me, but you make it sound so fascinating and intellectually suspenseful. I might have to give this a try. Thanks for your review!

This sounds like an interesting read! Military or war books usually bore me, but I think this review has convinced me to give them a second chance. Stating that it is easy to understand and well edited has definitely swayed me. I can't wait to give this book a shot! Thanks for your review!
