While the title and the review makes it sound like it would be a fun read, for some reason I feel like it will be one of those books that will change my perspective forever. I hesitate a little to jump into this one.

I like the fact that the book espouses on the effects of 'domestic altercations to the mind of younger members of the family' which is a pertinent but constantly overlooked issue, from time immemorial. Its dictions though laced with pathos have an element of humor deeply embedded. I say so because what may be funny to one, might not be funny to the other and vice-versa. Above all, I think it (the book) qualifies as an interesting read.
Thanks for the review

Thanks for the great review. From the totle itself, I give the benefit of the doubt of picking it up. I want to avoid as much possible to stories that target Catholic ideals etc. Though, I seem to get interested on other social issues. I'm also indulge with first person perspective narration. I hope to read it soon. Congrats on BOTD.

Always, I ensure I steer clear of religious satire books because I'm a Christian. However, having themes about women liberation and the transitory nature of life, it might be a good read for fans of the genre.

I'm really into this book, it was far too off the wall with the glow in the dark slippers and crucifix.

Lovely review. However, i being catholic am not sure if i will find some of the things highlighted as hilarious or offensive.

Dodging Satan by Kathleen McCormick is an expose of the life and times of a young lass caught up between two divergent spheres of religion and morality, while trying to create a voice that is devoid of the influences of both worlds that she has come to know and internalise. A voice that tries to establish a unique identity from the eccentricity that surrounded her background and evolving into a young woman with eclectic ideas.
the book is a potpourri of realistic, hysterical and rib-tickling experiences.

I thought the book was kinda dark and scary. To be honest, the cover was not appealing at all. But my POV was chnaged thanks to your review. I now know better.

This is a good review and I'm so excited to start reading this book. I like that it has humour while also exploring gender biases in religion and relationships.

I must admit that this review did a very good job of breaking the book down to the simplest form. Anyone who is not interested in the book will even want to take a peep.

Interesting review for an interesting book. The sample I read piqued my interest. I love the author's narrative style. Congrats on BOTD.
