This sounds like a great story showing a lot of love towards a dog. It's an interesting idea for a story setting it up as letters from the dog, and can see readers who have a loved dog enjoying it. Thanks for the review

This is quite an interesting concept - a dog's eye view! I used to have a dog so I can totally understand what to expect out of this book, and knowing that (as well as how highly-rated it was), I know there are many dog lovers who would absolutely love this as a gift.

This story sounds very cool and I like that you can relate to the narrator's experiences. I can relate to you in that I too was a dog owner. He was a Shih tzu named Dusty and reading your review made me think of him. I also like that the author provided a chronological type sequence to the novel even though they were individual stories.

Yes, I can see that a running narrative might have been a better writing style choice than a series of letters. Thanks for the review.

I agree with the reviewer that there was something lacking in the style of this book. When reading a sample, I felt little desire to continue. I’m sure there are many who would enjoy reading Shellbee’s story, but I’m not one of them. Thanks for the review.

Shellbee's Story demonstrates a passionate, considerate love with a desire to infiltrate the mind of a beloved pet, yet the personification of Shellbee felt human as opposed to a simplistic, instinctual, animalistic perspective.

A great review that definitely makes me want to go check out the book! It does what it should and tells me enough to have me interested, but not enough I don't feel I don't need to read the book. Will definitely be reading this book!

Thank you for your review. This is a fascinating concept. I don't think my dog would be a trustworthy narrator of any book - he'd blame everything on the cat! You make the book sound very interesting. I wonder if being a dog, the language might be a little oversimplified and whether this book may be for younger readers. I will have to find out!

While the form of narration and the writing style looks very interesting and well done, the plot doesn't seem like my cup of tea. Great review.

I'm not usually a big fan of books with the point of view from animals, but I can appreciate the creativity! I think many dog lovers will really enjoy this story. Thanks for the review!

Shellbee's story is a nice book, melt my heart to read about a dog which is telling us its own story of life. I am going to finish the book soon. Great story.

:) I hope I read the lovely book. This would be my first time reading from an animals point of view. I'm pretty sure it's filled with love and cuteness.

I’ll admit my take isn’t very charitable, the concept seems a little self indulgent. I’m glad the reviewer like it.
