It sounds like there is a lot to like about this book, but I’m most intrigued by the well developed and intricate characters. Natalie especially sounds relatable and charismatic. I look forward to sampling this author’s work!

Great job on the review and thank you for sharing. This sounds like it will be an interesting novel since it pulled you in so easily. I also like that it would be appealing to a large audience.

Thank you for this review. I started reading the book this morning, and it has been impossible to stop. The beginning of the story it is so well written that makes you empathize immediately with Natalie.
I also agree that the descriptions are great and helps you have a good idea of how every character is and how unique they all are (I had the feeling of being watching a movie too).
Finally, even if I am just at the beginning, this review confirmes my feeling about this book being a great story not just for teenagers but also for young adults.
Thank you again; it sounds like you enjoyed it, so I will keep reading it.

Congratulations for finishing to read your first novel in 2018 and I'm happy to know that this book has done you justice. I'm interested to get my hands on this book. I agree with you about the adults shouldn't pass on this book thinking its only for teens because broken family happens regardless of age. Thank you for your interesting review.

I read a sample of the book, and the writing style seems to fit the glowing remarks of the review. I am not a huge fan of this kind of "coming of age" story, but I am sure that many will enjoy it.

What a superb review; you really have a way with words!

Even so, I don't know that I want to read Ironbark Hill. I'm not a big fan of stories about characters' journeys and overcoming adversity. I've also been in abusive situations and "dated" a married man, so I'm not too keen on books that remind me of certain parts of my life, either. Still, it seems like you really enjoyed it and I'm glad your first book of 2018 was a winner.

The main character of this book is a Sixteen-year-old girl Natalie. It is really a nice written book, which tell us about a teenager girl feeling. Thanks a lot for the book.

I am really not sure what to say after your amazing review, except, okay...you sold me on the book! How could I possibly say no after all the positive words you had to say about this fantastic read?!?! Thank you! I also appreciate you mentioning this is good for both teens and adults. I plan to add this title to our classroom book recommendations board. :-)

Falling in love with a married man at the age of sixteen and on top of that Natalie does everything she can to overcome poverty and help her family. This is an alluring plot. I love when the characters are credible. Thanks for this fascinating review!

It sounds like great character development in the story. Unfortunately not my preferred genre. Good review.

Coming of age tales aren't my type of book to read bit this one really sounds like it hit the mark on content, character descriptions, and making the reader actually feel for the characters.

I wish to express my thanks to the reviewer. Indeed, Natalie was couragous and brave to do what a man can do. It is a nice story for every one to read.

Your review really makes the book sound so intriguing to read. However, as I was reading the sample for the book I was not as drawn into the book as what you have read. I feel that I would have wanted to read more of the book after the sample if there had been more of a hook to keep me reading. I am willing to give this book a second chance if I am given good reason to take a second look.
