I enjoyed the book. It all about a hobby she love to do with some close friends of hers. She was literally the first female to train and enjoy fly casting.

I would like to see how the bonds between these women strengthen through the sport of fly fishing. The story looks interesting, and I'm glad the author fixed the writing problems in the new edition. Thank you for the review.

I imagine once you get caught naked and flailing floating down a river that the most difficult aspects of "opening up to total strangers" are pretty much taken care of :lol2:

Either way, this book doesn't really sound like my cup of tea. Interesting topic though! One doesn't often think of fly fishing as a "gals bonding" activity.

I never thought that friends could have so much fun and learn about each other doing something as simple as fly fishing.

Congrats on the review. I'd like to learn about fly fishing, which is totally new. The theme of friendship seems to be portrayed well.

I'm not into fishing so this aspect of the book puts me off. The rest of the book sounds great though. Shame.

Hmmm, fly fishing? Am not sure this is the type of book for me but since it's got such a nice review on it plus it's Feb's book of the month.I'll definately give it a try.

I definitely wasn’t expecting a woman to be caught naked in the river after being introduced to the subject of fly fishing. Part of me feels like this book focusing on friendship more than the issue of how the woman got into that situation is weird to me, in a way, and it almost sounds like the book avoids touching on sensitive subjects, but I guess I’ll have to read to find out.

As I began reading the sample, I immediately thought "hmm, I wonder if the author is from around here?" Continuing to page two, I find the characters are fishing very close to me! We drive to Salida on the weekends for skiing at Monarch and go right past the spots on the Arkansas where they fish.

There is a fantastic woman who vends the day's catch at our local farmer's market. She sells fish caught from our river each morning. I am going to recommend this book to her when I see her next!

I am genuinely interested with this novel, I want to know how the woman came to be naked and alone. It is interesting when strangers develop warm love and care towards a needy.

I chuckled when you noted on the author's, at times, unnatural dialogue. I can't recall a time I heard, "You are welcome," as well. I thought this book was pretty cool but I don't think I want to get into it. Thanks for the review!
