I am a bit torn on this one because it sounded like my kind of book prior to the alcoholic demise. I think I will still give it a read though!

Thanks for the review! I like that this book focuses mostly on character development which is always great for an emotional read! I will have to pass on this book as I wasn't a fan of the sexual jokes and references littered throughout the sample.

According to your review, I believe that Duke and Gary had a very close relationship in the story. Thanks for mentioning that this book relates to alcoholism and drugs. I agree that it might be disturbing to others to read, but might be very suitable for those who struggle with the same issue or can perhaps relate to the experiences that both main characters underwent. :)

I used to know a sword swallower in my youth so this brings back good memories of him. He was a good friend too and so I see the appeal of this book.

Thank you for sharing and great job on the review. In the sample I found Duke interesting. From what you mentioned in the review the author focuses more on character development so I am curious to see what happens with both characters as the story progresses.

I’m actually really excited to give this one a try. I think character driven stories are much better than action packed thrillers, anyway. If a book doesn’t have well written and developed characters, it’s simply not a good book in my opinion, so I know I’ll at least appreciate this book for that. Thanks for your review!

I like books that can be taken lightly, or can be read and understood on a deeper level. Looking forward to reading more of this one!

I like the circus theme, but I’m not a fan of the drinking and graphic scenes.

I’m interested to see how these characters help each other, especially since both have issues with alcohol. Maybe I’ll read the rest and find out. Thanks for the review!

I am sort of torn as to whether I'm interested in this book or not. I read a few pages, and I'm not quite sure if it's my cup of tea. But I like the review. So, I most likely wouldn't choose to read this book to write a review, but I think i will attempt to finish reading the book based on the review. I would like to see if it is agreeable.

Although I like the concept of two broken boys finding and helping each other throughout their journeys, I feel like this is not the book for me. Thank you for the review, though.

I enjoyed the sample Amazon offered. I thought the writing was simple and a bit repetitive, but overall I think I would read the book.

Well Duke and Gary seem like interesting characters. I like it when an author gives us good insight about the characters before developing the story. Good review.

I'm not quite interested in reading this because of the mentions of alcoholism, drugs and nudity. Anyway, thanks for your review. It gives me insights on this book.

This sounds like a strange friendship, but obviously an important one for the two characters involved.
