The Main Characters can be likened to some of the ones living in today’s world. Its parallelism to life itself is what i Love Best in this Book♥️Most of all, I love that this book talks about one’s desire to change and change for the better. Thank you again for this wonderful book and Congratulations on the #BOTD!👏👏👏

This review has given me an over-view of the story and it's really a story to be read. So I need to get a copy in my shelf. Thanks for that review.

This book is interesting considering the fact that there's a real fiction and realism in contrast.. I find the climax interesting.

Thanks for your review! I was on the fence about Gary Robinson's "The Sword Swallower and the Chico Kid;" but after reading your review, I decided to place the book on my to-read bookshelf. :) I am looking forward to reading a book with amazing character development and humorous dialogue.

Two alcoholic men became fast friends. I’m glad that this has humour. Any character driven book should always have humour to offset the heavy drama. Thanks for your review!

The fictional story of this novel revolves around the two main characters Duke Reynolds and Gary Robinson and their interesting discussion about religious and social issues. Interestingly the author of this book Gary Robinson has given much importance to the character development, and humor between the dialogues of Duke and Gary.

I was about to pass but read the review. Now I want to read it. I have seen a few acts of the different circus. I find the plot very intriguing. Thank you for the review. 💐💐💐👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I wish the book cover was slightly different than this one. At first sight of the book cover it seems like an action/war novel.
Congrats on being BOTD 💐💐👍🏻💐💐

I'm always amazed at the wonderful imaginations that these authors have! Who would have thought of including a sword swallower in a novel :D This seems to work well and the blending of the two characters makes for an entertaining story. Not sure if I'll read this one, but it certainly captured my attention. Thank you.

I hope the learning to be had from this novel about drug addiction is that lives are destroyed because of it and nothing good will ever come out it but only rotten minds.

This novel sounds very intriguing. I cannot help but notice the author's name is the same as the "deadbeat" character. Semi-autobiographical? Coincidence? Does this become a self-help book? I might just have to read it to find out!

The Sword Swallower and a Chico Kid by Gary Robinson is divided into three parts. The fact that the author can still make you root for a character despite his flaws is a very good sign indeed. There is a lot of alcoholism, drugs, and nudity mentioned throughout the book. However, there is humor, especially in the dialogue between Gary

I thought this would be an action novel, but instead it is a wonderful tale of friendship. As someone who previously struggled with alcoholism, I can empathise with the characters and I look forward to finishing the book.

I am glad I didn't judge a book by it's cover or name. I assumed (we all know where that gets us) , that it was a YA genre or something like that. Wow I am amazed I am excited to read about this man's life albeit tragic one. Congratulations on a great review it definitely threw me off my chair. I never in a million years would have thought the title or cover had anything to do with a gentleman trying to cope through life in the grips of alcoholism. Definitely looking forward to seeing how the author is doing today and how he managed to or what made him want to turn his life around.
