The story sounds very compelling and I'm curious about the culture surrounding the book. My only problem is the rape, especially since it's of minors. However, if we don't talk about that stuff, we'll never mobilize well enough to stop it. Thank you for the insightful review.

This story about a stunt performer is interesting. We hear stories of exploitation even in Hollywood, and how much more in low-budgeted entertainment establishments struggling in meager revenues. And what is more amazing in the story is how minors are sold in India by parents. Thanks for this interesting review.

There is alot of great lessons in this book and also what an African child goes through while growing up. All the challenges and community expectations.

Thanks for a great review. The sample I read was well written. It's hard to read about mistreatment of children and I was glad you let us know about the graphic sexual content and rape of children. I really don't think I would enjoy this book because of that.

Thank you for sharing this review. I could now picture out the hardships and struggle that one has to go through when entering the world of entertainment. There are those in India who enter the circus at a very young age mainly due to some unique abilities they possess. And the possibility of them being exploited to do meager chores in between the acts are just too downgrading.

Wow! Interesting book.
This would raise awareness to sensitive subjects like sex exploitation which happens a lot around the world. 😢Excited to read the development of the character. How she surpassed the challenges she faced in her life. This book would be a real eye-opener.
Looking forward to read it.
Thanks for the great review. ❤

Such a great book. Although I feel happy for Muthu for getting the glorious opportunity for her talent to be recognized, I still pity her. I can only speculate about what the "creep" has in mind.

The book sounds great despite the extreme sexual scenes.

Wow. This is a great review. I've ways wondered at how little children do all those tricks in a circus. This book promises to give me a good show of what happens behind the scenes. Thanks

The Elastic Girl's story not only tells about the protagonist's adventure in the circus. More so, it conveys an important message on the character's perseverance to better herself in the midst of challenges she went through in life.
