Is a novel with unpredictable outcome, which makes it intriguing to read. Broward children have just buried both of their parents, rather unexpectedly. The youngest sister is a mere 17 years old and needs someone to take care of her until she reaches 18. Game is on, as she encounters series of challenges, can't wait to read.

Thank you for your review. :-) Today's #BOTD sounds like a great read for Saturday afternoon! Filled with character development and growth, this well-written (and well-edited) story is one I don't want to miss! Thank you, William H. Coles for making this #free to your readers and congratulations!

Just love books that are unpredictable...am now anxious to read this FREE book to find out how? Seems like lots to work with when it involves 2 young orphans on their own. Interesting review...thanks!

Stories like "Sister Carrie" touch my heart. I feel that sociologists and social welfare workers should take
a summary or part of it to educate the public.

Good review of a nice book! Reading the review of Sister Carrie by William H. Coles has piqued my interest. And although the genres that appeal to me are detective, mystery, thriller, fantasy and sci-fi, I intend to read this book to check it's unpredictability. :tiphat: :techie-studyingbrown:

Clean review without words that send me back to the dictionary, well expounded on the expected themes in the book. I enjoyed the review, so seems the reviewer "CatInTheHat"

This sounds like a worthwhile read. I was surprised to find out that it is a short story, considering the subject matter. Great review!

I love your theme for the book--"unpredictable". It was that exact word in the the previous paragraph before you mentioned the theme that made me want to pick this book out! I just finished a William H. Coles book and did not find it to be one an enjoyable read. However, this one may help change my overarching opinion of his last work I read. I like short with substance.. as well as some mystery and sexual content :) Thanks for the review!
