I enjoy spiritual journeys in the books I read... but I do have to be in the proper mindset otherwise I tend to "miss" the point and I don't like to do that. I need to set some time aside for the reading of this story since I heard of others like it, but haven't read them either. Maybe i'll make a month of it? LOL

Two things sound a little bit like a letdown: the revelation that the journey may be a dream (cliche?) and the awkward phrasing and run-ons. I'll still read the sample, but I'll be doing it with a critical eye.

Actually, I referenced that the experience was a dream because the author did so at the end of the book. While I was reading it, I didn't see it as such. Thanks for your reply.

Great review. I find the story fascinating. The language herein is soft and ready for any reader to go through. Not one that would require you to sit by dictionary for reference of vocabularies. Congrats on being BOTD.

Since you say that this book has run on sentences and doesn't present anything new as far as plot goes, I don't think that I will be reading this one. However, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. It does sound like an uplifting book with a good message. Great review.

It seems like a good book though I can not seem to understand Baingana's interest in Sophia. Was it a romantic or spiritual interest? What did Sophia's father mean by dancing with Sophia?

Good questions. When Baingana first sees Sophia, he feels a romantic interest. However, as he proceeds through his journey and learns more about himself, he comes to understand that his interest is spiritual. The key to understanding this is to know that Sophia is named for the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom. "Dancing with Sophia" therefore is a metaphor for becoming wise. I enjoy reading the review it's great.I like the story,it states an insight to ponder about spiritual side of life.I like the 3 characters in this book,Inesa,Abner and Sophia.They play an important part of the main character about wisdom,discipline and having an optimistic way of living.
