I agree that sometimes you have to be in the right mindset for the message of a book to resonate with you. Thanks for reading the review and replying.tamdlyte wrote: ↑09 Dec 2017, 01:37 I enjoy spiritual journeys in the books I read... but I do have to be in the proper mindset otherwise I tend to "miss" the point and I don't like to do that. I need to set some time aside for the reading of this story since I heard of others like it, but haven't read them either. Maybe i'll make a month of it? LOL

Thanks for the kind reply.Cjgarland89 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2017, 01:39 Well written review. The story sounds simply and complex all at the same time. This isn’t necessarily a book I would read, but thanks for the great review.

Actually, I referenced that the experience was a dream because the author did so at the end of the book. While I was reading it, I didn't see it as such. Thanks for your reply.

Good questions. When Baingana first sees Sophia, he feels a romantic interest. However, as he proceeds through his journey and learns more about himself, he comes to understand that his interest is spiritual. The key to understanding this is to know that Sophia is named for the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom. "Dancing with Sophia" therefore is a metaphor for becoming wise. Yes, I agree that one's interest will depend on whether one has been exposed to such material through other works. Thanks for your reply.LivreAmour217 wrote: ↑13 Dec 2017, 16:14 This book sounds well-intentioned and probably has some meaningful content, but you’re spot-on when you say that there are other books with similar themes. Thank you for this detailed and balanced review.
