James Hanna is on fire! This is the 3rd BOTD I have seen from him recently. The review makes this book sound like a must read with lots of action and inside knowledge. This seems to be a timely book to read with all of the recent prison violence that has been on the news. I will definitely add this to my to read shelf.

This sounds like an interesting book. It must be full of some valuable lessons and the plot is captivating. I think this would be a book that is full of action and suspense. Thank you for sharing.

This is a wonderful review. It portrays the lifestyle of the inmates in the prison. I will like to know the role of the priest that defiled a minor in that piece. Wonderful review though.

This sounds like a nice psychological thriller. The author has used brilliant creativity to keep the mood and pace of the story in a manner that keeps the reader glued to the story. I like it already. I will add it to my to-read list. Great review.

This sounds great, but I would pass it on due to the violence and sexual encounters. Nice review!

I really enjoyed the analysis that you applied to this review. I appreciate how you described the pace and word choice, which makes this seem like a very well written story. The gruesome nature of this book indicates it is probably not for me, though.

I’ve been watching a tv show themed similarly to this book so this genre is in my interest. Reading about the justice system would probably make me understand how it works in the real world. I have to get a copy of this book!

Seriously, what a fantastic review! I almost blew this story off, as I'm not in the mood for another prison story, but MAN, your review really made me change my mind! I love a well-written psychological thriller, and it sounds like I'd get my money's worth with this book. Thanks so much for sharing such a thorough and intriguing review :)

The review is well written and does much to help in the decision on whether it is an interesting read. I love that the book has a glossary for the prison terms, it keeps the reader informed with out them having to look on another source to find definitions. I like that the author kept the story real and try to sugarcoat the situations. I feel sometimes the raw truth just needs to be told. I have to admit, when I first read cover of book, I was disinterested. But now, I am think I want to find out what happened. I know the system is flawed and hearing another person close to the truth tell the story, I believe will be worth my time.

This book sounds really exciting for thriller lovers like myself. I'm really not surprised that Hemmings finds himself being a pawn in the political chess game played by the inmates and the prison officials. That the secondary characters are equally complex and the writing style so beautifully crafted gives added bonus points to the author. Thanks for the detailed review.

I've always been interested in the penal system as great or corrupt some may be. This fiction story seems it could be believable and that is very interesting to me. Criminals are human too and I cant wait to know why the uprising? How did issues get worked out? A must read! :tiphat:
