I enjoyed your review. The book's plot is well intertwined and the multiplicity of characters make want to read it.

Interesting review! I liked that you were able to appreciate the writing and character development, even though the story itself was lacking.

It seems that the author focused on developing the individual voices of the four characters but didn't fully develop the story within which he set them. Perhaps a rewrite could get the book to four stars? Thanks for the review.

I have seen this book around in people's book shelves and I am glad you wrote such detailed review. I personally love the character driven plot and seeing the protagonists develop throughout the story is right up my alley. Even though you've listed the not so great aspects of the book, I am definitely considering picking it up and seeing what it has to offer. Thank you for such an amazing review!

How we are all connected one way or another seems magical. This single aspect draws me to the story. However, the issue with the characters' development turns me off. Thanks for the review!

"Short and dragging" sounds like an interesting combination. "Tom and Gerry" does not.

The author's story is profound and relatable. Many times we are faced with toxic environment and this book is good as it sheds light on how to tackle and cope.
