Excellent story. I am glad to see that much research has been done and that all characters and settings and everything meld together seamlessly. Everything is realistic with never knowing what is going to work and what won't. Sounds like a wonderful book.

Hmm, good review, but not my style: I prefer fantasy or syfy.

It’s great to see a well-researched and well-written story, but I don’t think this one is for me. I’m pretty picky about the types of mysteries that I’ll read.

My curiosity is piqued to finish the book if for no other reason but determine the meaning of the title of the book. The review points the way to family dynamics complex in nature. It sounds like The Spirit of Want is worth the read.

Mr. Coles does a phenomenal job at writing about relationships in life. I'm happy to read more of his work.

'Official Review: The Spirit of Want by William H. Coles' reflects upon all the major issues raised in the book. It is a positive one and complete! Also, it has an encouraging tone!

Coles does a good job of showing how relationships can be strained when they are hiding a huge part of their life from their family members. The book is worth a read.

Sounds like an intriguing book, with the complexities of the various professions of the characters at play. I expect many can relate to the challenges of a busy personal and professional life. It should be a good read.

From a sampling, this story combines many real world elements such as law and marriage into a more compact realistic and readable fashion. Well Done.

Having read the sample of this book you really should have prefaced your review "spoiler alert". I'd still like to finish reading the book, but something about your review leaves me feeling like the plot is a bit disjointed.

Both Luke and Lucy have great careers that demand a lot of attention, I wonder if their marriage survived. I also like the fact that there is a mystery in the book. Enjoyable and intriguing review!

I have read another book by Coles before and I like his articulation of different emotions in one book. I guess this is another I get to read and enjoy. Thanks for the review.

The plot is very much close to McDowell's but is interesting. The author is known for his stories covering social lives of doctors. Great review.
