Great review! Thanks for pointing out key features like the fact that this is a character driven story and that it’s full of detail. These are both very important factors in my decision to read a book, so I will definitely be checking this one out :D

A surgeon is put into the difficult position of having to reprimand his mentor. It sounds interesting and I'm glad the reviewer enjoyed this book, but I don't think it's for me based on the part I read.

This review creates an interest in this book. I enjoy a quick read, especially one that is strong in character development. Plus, the subject matter of human behavior increases the interest.
I plan on reading the sample and then make my final decision.

Sounds very interesting, thanks for the great review. I'm anxious to find out why the surgeon is slipping up and what they will do about it.

Thanks for the Nice Review. Love to read a medical thriller about an aging surgeon who makes mistakes while treating his patients. It's really scary and dark. Aging is one of the hardest obstacles for a medical professional. Love to read the entire book.

Character development does make or break a book. It's not just pretty writing. If the character doesn't feel then the reader won't feel. I'll check this out.

I am a character-driven reader; so, when I'm reading a book, I am more interested in feeling attached to the characters rather than the plot itself, though it also plays a huge role. Regardless, this seems like my kind of story. Thanks for the review.

I know that Mike finds himself in a hard position, but there is a bigger concern here. The hippocratic oath that doctors take for the well being of patients should make this a no brainer. If Mike breaks it to protect his mentor, how long will it be before he breaks it for other reasons. Is this the start of a slippery path. I'll have to read the rest to find out what he does.

Thanks for the review! I think it's awesome how invested you were in the characters and their lives. This book seems like something I would be interested in reading, but if there's a love triangle happening, I'll have to pass.

This seems like a story that asks the hard questions... and gives answers that may not be what you expected. A surgeon making mistakes is always scary!
