Great review. It has a very nice cover. The book also has short pages which made me read it quickly. Its not a cliff hanger despite the short pages, the author has developed it and the characters fully.
Clayton makes a life threatening mistake during a surgery that leads to the patients death after he realizes that his wife, Elizabeth and his younger partner, mike are in a relationship. Its a very good literary fiction book thanks to Mr. Coles

Understanding people and their behavior is a great talent; to describe people's relationships without plunging the reader into depression is even greater talent. I've never read the books by this author, it will be interesting to give it a try and figure everything out myself. Thanks for the great review.

This is a nice review. I will love to read the book to see how the human psyche is exposed.

A surgeon who falters in his job, but won't leave the practice sounds scary for his patients. I wouldn't want to him as my doctor! It's good to hear that there's great character development here and how realistic the author seemed to have made this read. The darker themes seem very thought-provoking in this book. Don't think it's for me since there's only so much violence I can take, lol, but I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Thank you for the lovely review!

Sounds like a good one! Thanks for the review--but I really wanted to know who that creepy guy was on the cover! Guess I'll have to read it to find out.

I agree with your closing quote that any story can be good no matter the genre. Characters really do make a book. They can even make a boring plot interesting.

As much as I like this review, I don't think this book would be for me. It has an interesting plot, but it does not grab my attention. Wonderful review. Good job.

This novel looks dark and confusing, but so is the human psyche. It's definitely intriguing. I will give this book a try. Thank you for your honest review!

Career is something. It is someone's life. If it will be taken away, it causes depression or even worse. But what about if your family will be taken from you? This story is something worth following. Clayton, Mke, and Catherine will bring us a differently organized story.

I've watched a lot of medical tv series but I've read only a few books that contained this theme. I am very curious about who the plot with be developed and what will happen in the end. Thank you for the review.

I am looking forward to reading The Surgeon's Wife. This is just in my wheel house. Character driven and set in the South. Very nice review.
