The genre is alien to me, but with your last line, I might as well give it a try!

I'm not so sure if I like the premise of this book, it seems to encourage adultery of sorts. Talking about public outrage at the conduct of Catherine and Mike while they strive to hold it together even as Clayton suffers doesn't really appeal to my empathetic side. However, I will read it to see if my understanding broadens or my opinion changes.

I strongly agree, character development helps strongly shape the story. If there was no development there would technically be no conflict or a resolution to a story. Also I would have never read the book if I just looked at it or read the first page or two. You have to get farther in to see the characters really develop. Otherwise it would get boring fast unless you where a doctor. I would recommend this book even I’d I am only one third or the way done.

This is not the first review where I have read a reviewer commending this author. It seems that they have a real talent for writing, at times dark content, and changing it into something to learn from. I have been meaning to read this book for some time and I think the time has come!

your review brings out the character of the actors and clearly summarizes the authors message and I like the idea that it is 200pages

Thanks for the excellent review, you tipped me from not being sure about reading it to deciding to finish it! I read the first few chapters and was tempted but unsure of whether it would be worth it as a short read. Happy the characters are well fleshed out.

Thanks for this review. I would not normally read a book like this, I'm prone to depression and try to avoid dark stories, but since you have indicated it is a short read and though it is dark as is the human experience and did not lead to depression overall , I am going to read the book. The author has kindly given us the book to read for free and I will read it based on your review.

I too like medical mysteries and thrillers, this character driven novel being of such type, will easily win my attention. It's already in my to read list. Thanks for this review.
