I've just finished James Hanna's short story collection, which I loved, so I think it would be really interesting to read one of his novels.

This review definitely captures the humor of the book. I have started reading it and am finding it enjoyable despite the crude humor. It is also a rather quick read which helps.

Call me Pomeroy

Hysterical. Raw language, yet inventive, not just fowl. Looking through the eyes of a male who is always on the prowl, always measuring women in an ongoing script fit into the rest of his life. "Head-ward!" A biting tale that will leave you in stitches.

Woow!!! What a very interesting story of a man trying to stay away from the police while striving to get his music to greater heights!!
I like the review because it seems the book is so nice but in a very comical way!!

Great review! I'm not sure what to make of this book. Based on the plot and crude humor, it seems like it could be either really good or really bad.

"Call Me Pomeroy" was a well written submission and absolutely hilarious. Author was honest in telling his story that sheds light on some truth that are difficult to confront in the world. By James Hanna, containing language is not suitable for the readers to go through. But it's with a lot of llaugh-out -loud moments. Thanks to James Hanna for the good submission.

I'm not really into books like this but I do find it funny that he is even convinced that his parole officer is into him.

Good review. It sounds like a humorous book, if a little raunchy. These kind of books can hit someone either as really good or really bad. I'll have to see I guess. Although I am wondering what is the ""new world" philosophy"?

I like this review. Not only did I get a good picture of Pomeroy's storyline, but I like that the review author included a bit of warning. I will likely still read it, but it's good to know going in that the language and situations may not be appropriate for all audiences. With kids at home, I'm happy to be able to screen books before they receive. My older kids may be okay with the questionable parts, but I'm sure I will limit the contact my younger kids have. Cheers.
