Pomeroy sounds like a real character. This is a rainy day read for sure.

I really enjoyed this review. I love that you immediately acknowledged the rigid nature of the book, making it a difficult read for some. I myself am entrigued! Though I love heroes, I find myself attracted to anti-heroes most of all, like Pomeroy seems to be. I can relate to a character when their flaws are out in the open. A character with open flaws entertains the darkest parts of my soul. I often forget that I am relating to a fictional character and not a living, breathing human being.
Really fantastic review!

I agree "Call Me Pomeroy" by James Hanna is not for everyone, but it is definitely going to be a funny and interesting read. I probably wouldn't have picked this one for myself, due to some of the content, but after reading the sample and this great review, I am going to have to give it a go. As stated in the beginning of the sample, be ready to sit and read through this one, you won't want to put it down. Congratulations to James Hanna on BOTD📚 🥀

This seems like an amazingly funny story. I don't usually read a lot of comedie dominated novels however this seems like a very interesting topic that I would love to read about.

The editor really tries to sell the book in the beginning but I don't think it is worth the buy. Pomeroy is not likeable and not even comedic. Not the book for me.

This was an excellent review. The Pomeroy character sounds pretty amusing, but I'm not much for racy language and situations, so I don't think this book is for me.

Is entertaining. It got my attention and cracked my ribs, for me; is a book to keep and revisit once in a while when you're all blue. Great review

Thank you for your in-depth review of Call Me Pomeroy by James Hanna. Based on your review, I can tell that I would not enjoy reading about a crude, sexist, and egotistical anti-hero, regardless of how humorous the book may come across to some readers. I appreciate the warning about various aspects of the book.

A man who is very fond of himself and has his own mind, trying to make his way to become a famous singer. I recommend this for people that have a good sense of humour with them. One thing for sure, Ol' Pomeroy was never boring.

From reading the short sample I am certain that I am one of those "won't appeal to everyone" that you mentioned. Glad that you enjoyed it, however.

From the quick sample that I read, I find your review to be spot on. I rather enjoyed the unorthodox approach to the story, and you captured that within your poignant assessment. You get a real feel for who Pomeroy is.

I like the fact that you have provided caution without turning me away from wanting to read it. Nice work.
