To tell the truth - I'm not sure what to think about this book. On one hand I can't call myself a big fan of "crude sense of humor", but on the other I greatly enjoy a "impressive literary intellect" . It seems I will have to read it to make up my mind)

Thank you for your great review. A well-written satire on a modern-day, literary-genius anti-hero worthy of re-reading does seem interesting. Although the crude language and adult theme may not be suitable to all, it's perfect reviewer rating and the publisher's view that it's a book they "never expected they'd need that came at the right timing" are indications of its forecasted appeal to fans of a humor-filled genre.

Sounds like a really fun book. Since I am a fan of satirical shows like South Park, I think I could get into this book.

From the preview the book seems to cover basic qualities such as comedy, violence and partly Love. Which makes the book more realistic and helps create a perfect image of what happens in real life. Is a book not to miss out :tiphat:

I enjoy a good low brow comedy, and this reminds me of Gulliver's Travels in tone, so I'll be reading this book.

A street musician out on parole seems like it would make for a funny story. I'm not sure I will like the humor in this one, but I would be willing to give it a try.

Thanks for the great review! I probably won't be reading this one because I don't enjoy books with bad language and too much sex, but I'm sure a lot of people will like it.

Thanks for your review. The sample has me curious to find out how Pomeroy fares, and you seem to have enjoyed it, so I think I'll read the book. I've had to learn to ignore foul language in books, since most of the books we review seem to contain a lot of that, and try to focus on the lessons to be learnt in them. This looks like one such.

I read a sample of Call Me Pomeroy by James Hanna and then I read your review. Try as I might, I just could not find this book funny. I felt sorry for Pomeroy more than anything else. But I am glad you enjoyed the book and thank you for the review!

This story definitely catches my attention. A good light comical read as a go between book. Pomeroy seems to be a likeable fellow but one to watch out for. Adding to my must read list!
