Pomeroy sounds like an intereting character. However, the use of crude language and graphic scenes don't go well with me. I am happy you enjoyed it. Great review.

Still to read the book myself and find out if Pomeroy was finally able to free himself of the charges facing him. I think this is an interesting story. It is more captivating than the title sounds. The blurb on Amazon was not that informative but this review has helped me to consider reading it. Thanks for the review.

Now this is a book that sounds completwly exhiliriating. The plot is absolutely wondeeful but not as wonderful as the character himself- Pomeroy. It is also a humorous book which does it for me. I have to read it. Great review btw.

I read the review and thought this is not my genre. But I figured I would read a couple of pages, well I'm on page 28,and still shaking my head. Pomeroy is arrogant, clueless, annoying, misogynistic, and some how still likeable. It's a bit baffling.

In my opinion the main character has a few positive and fun loving qualities but to my dismay I didn't like the extent and the direction of the profanity used by the author. Apart from this, since it is categorised as 'other fiction', the stories were thought of very uniquely.

I recently reviewed this book, and it was difficult for me to accept that Pomeroy was a third person as the country from where i belong, third persons are not taken in the military, while Pomeroy served twice in Nam (war of Vietnam). Yes the book is not for each type of reader that's why i couldn't express in my review that where i laughed, if it was written in an acceptable way. :(

Having a sexist and crude character, in a comical tale sure is intriguing. With your honest review, I kind of feel I might pick it up as my next read.

The seems quite interesting to me, even if you say that it is not every readers choice. I think that I can handle a bit of crude language, and on the top of that I am the lover of that books which make me laugh out loud.
And I really appreciate you for giving it 4 stars as it really deserves 4 out of 4.

I think Pomeroy is a mind-blowing personality. I'm interested in this one, simply because Pomeroy is an interesting character: someone you might want to know of and understand.

This sounds like something to read when you need cheering up. I find that I'm already immune to the swearing as we always see this even on TV. Thanks for your review!
