Thanks for the review! I think I could probably deal with the editing errors if they're minor, but I honestly don't care for this time period.

This sounds like a good book from the review. 1965 was just a few short years before I was born, so those 'free' hippie years were something I knew was going on in American when I was very little.

The sixties have always looked fascinating in movies. The book sounds like an easy read for those interested in the sixties through the lives of four friends.

I seldom read books in the hippies period so this will be refreshing to me. I love that the story builds realistic and three-dimensional characters. Thank you for your review.

I don't think this' my kind of book - ESPECIALLY with the editing missteps that you mentioned - but thank you for the very thorough review. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

That very age when one is full of life and energy. One is able to acquire meaningful friends and keep them for life. The book shows pleasant memories of that age. It is also important to note that such age is characterized by nostalgia once one is through that stage in life. I have enjoyed the review.
But it also shows some wrong decisions that are made due to peer pressure. All in all, the book is a good read and thanks for bringing this out on your review.

It sounds as if this evokes a lot of nostalgia about the 60s. It also sounds as if it is a fun read, despite the serious issues. It is interesting that two characters from very different walks of life were brought together in that era of great social change.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

Great review. Too bad about the editing though. I think that I will enjoy this book growing up with stories from my flower child parents, I’ve always been interested in the 60’s a time of love, friendship, acceptance, change and flower power. Not to mention the music. Thanks for sharing.

What a great review! I'm glad you enjoyed this book. :-) It sounds like a one that has the ability to attract readers of all different age groups with varying interests because they will be able to relate to one of the characters, the time period, or music, in general. I like that the story starts off in present day and is told through the guys reminiscing about friendship and good times, as well as challenges that people still face today. I have downloaded my copy, and I am looking forward to reading it. Congrats to tbe author on being today's feature! :-)

Thank you for your review. It seems like I read a lot of these where the only thing keeping the book from being perfect is editorial errors.

I like this book because the era of the sixties have continued to shape American society. The only thing that I would have liked to see is a reference to the Vietnam War and the protests. I liked that the topics of sexuality and drug use were covered in this novel. I can easily imagine people wearing hippie clothing and flashing peace signs.
