Wow, this sounds like such an interesting book! A shame about the ending, though. Great review!

I find it easier taking notes while reading a book than doing so while listening. You have done a great review for the book and it sounds like an interesting read.

The first thing that made me interested in this book was the beautiful cover. I was then further intrigued by the setting of the book as being in the Pacific Northwest. I like learning about mythology and legends from different societies including our own indigenous people. I also like that the story mixed adventure with mystery to give the novel more depth.

I love reading about the legends of various cultures and I'm sure that Native Americans have loads of them. Still this story is a bit too sweet and too heartwarming for me as I'm more into action and fast-paced adventure.

I remember hearing about this book a while ago and I also thought about choosing it to review but it was only available as an audio book and I don't really like audio books. Good for you for giving it a try. :) Too bad about the abrupt ending.

I also prefer reading books than listening to their audio versions. I must say I also enjoyed this book and will give it the same rating as you did. Thanks for the review.

Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon is a wonderful homage to the Native American stories of the Pacific North West.

This is a good story, well-written, and well worth reading about a teen-age person who makes a difference by accepting help.

I enjoyed your review. I just finished the book and really liked it. I assumed the ending was a gateway for the next book. I listened to the audio sample. Sometimes it is nice to listen to a book for a change. Nice review.

I have never listened to an audio book, nor read a review about one, so your review was interesting to read about that aspect as well as the actual story. I think I would like to read this book. Sarah's temporary disappearance sounds intriguing.

Thanks for the great review. I have never listened to an audio book before, so it is very interesting to get your perspective. I like that there are Native-American characters in the story. I'm curious to know what happened to the granddaughter and why she was gone for eight days.
