I like that this book took that unique take on the coming of age story. Not only does the protagonist take more to the staff than the famous food model, but also the lack of tags to riches focus.

Seems like a good read as a coming of age story. This genre is usually long and spans decades, but lovers of the genre like reading about the journey. I think the cover could be improved but the content makes up for it.

Thanks for the detailed review. I love how the author gave characteristics to Darwin, Sweeney, Luther, and Doc. This is a compelling story about a young man named Darwin. At 17, he experienced a different life from what he was used to. He will meet people from the limelights and people whose world revolves around the small kingdom they built. I am giving the author a two-thumbs up for an excellent story about survival, family, and relationships.

Thanks for the review, it makes the book sound super interesting. I'm a fan of relationships developing properly, being strengthened by various experiences. I only wish it wasn't a somewhat helpless boy going to all those challenges but then again, sometimes that's just life. Even if it's not a rags to riches theme, I do so hope it turned out well for Darwin.
