A book about a study of a young girl's life as well as other people in the story. It happens in an unusual and strange setting and explores the deepest nature of the human organism. Nice review thanks.

Interesting. I surely would always prefer reading a novel to listening to its audio version.

Atabon, If you decide to listen, I'd like to read your thoughts. I was enraptured w/the audiobook version, and both sad & disappointed that an early "official" review (the first review of an audiobook here, as well as the first ever written by that reviewer) was so negative. I found it difficult to believe the reviewer had listened to the entire book. The responses to that review mostly repeated or quoted negative remarks. I'd love to see more audiobooks here, but when the first review is so brutal, and simply accepted as fact by others, I doubt many authors will want to bring their narrations here. That would be a shame, since the audiobook is a format and genre growing in popularity by leaps and
bounds in our increasingly public-transit culture.?

Nice review! It's too bad the audio version was not so great.

I just finished Strong Heart and really enjoyed the story. I also found the combination of science and magic realism to be entertaining. I didn't know the book was available as an audio book, but it sounds like you were disappointed by the narration.

After going through the book review I think this is an intriguing story interweaving narrative legend and mysticism. The artistic manner in which the story starts to unfold is just enough to throw a reader into suspense and yearn to know what happens next. I can't wait to read the whole book.

Definitely sounds like a great book to read, but not to listen. However, I love you mentioning fruitful details without spoiling the story at all. Quite enticing read with many challenges to face. And why am I so sensitive when there is so much greatness in the books like this... Anyway, thanks a lot!

This review is one that makes me interested in a book I would have made a pass on. Sounds Good!

Its a good book. Maybe the narration was not strong because of personal reasons.

I have never experienced an audio book before and I don't know if this review gives me the confidence to try out one. I think the story sounds really good and solid. I don't particularly like this genre but I still think it's a good book to read.

The book is very nice to read but the expressions illustrated were interwoven. But not withstanding, the author has done wonderfully well.

Kudos!

Terrific review that makes me want to move the book up in my TBR pile. I was interested in it some time ago because of the mysticism and the unique relationships, but have not had a chance to read it. Thanks for prodding me with more information about the storyline and the characters.
