Wow it really an emotional story can't imagine the stress Robert McGillicuddy goes through after losing his wife,he retires to take care his aging father, his daughter is pregnant to a drug addict ex, he needs take care of her and his pre-teen daughter. All these stress and more just for one human being is really frustrating. It's a wonderful work art. I give a 4/4 rating.

Aging parents can result in some complicated and even heart-breaking situations. I'm happy to hear about vividly drawn characters in this story.

Stories or circumstances do have parallels. "We Won't Forget You, Mr McGillicuddy" is s story of someone who had had to suffer in order to help an ailing father and a pregnant daughter.

I feel that governments that have a welfare programme should look into cases like Mr McGillicuddy's.

I'm not sure if it's a book for me at the moment, but it sounds like a great story. The author has explored a lot of important themes.

Thank you for the detailed review. Sounds like an enjoyable read with great real life issues. Not totally sure about the political element but the rest really appeals.

It seems that McGillicuddy is a helpful person who needs to keep his memories for his grand children.

A great review. Politics mixed with family and passion, two great themes embedded into one good book. Not my kind of read but something at the back of my mind is tempting me to read.
