Whoa! This book sounds like an exciting journey into lives of those who not only stand for themselves but also for others as well. This books also gives practical insights for dealing with people with dementia. Struggle is a working rule in order to survive and here, almost everyone is seen coping with some sort of menace of their own which is quite entertaining as well as inspiring to read and go through at the same time. After reading the review, it feels like to go and grab the book at once .

When I was reading this sample I really loved the quote the author put in there from his mother. That quote is so true! Don't speak bad things about yourself and bad things are less likely to happen. So chose your words wisely everyone!

This book does sound engaging and like it has a unique plot. I don't think that I'd enjoy the political part of this book as I am trying to pull away from politics a little bit. Thanks for the review.

I can relate with Robert as my own dad is 89 and experiencing old-age dementia. We who care for the feeble old need all the help we can get.

Thanks for sharing your reading experience. I'd like to read this book and learn from it.

This appears to be a very touching book. After reading the sample and review of the book, my heart sympathizes with Robert. As a fictional character, he's going through family struggles that many people face in reality. I believe the author is telling us how important family is and how to cope or find an outlet when dealing with family related stress. I typically would not read this type of book but I am eager to find out how Robert deals with everything that he is going through.

This book is a good source and example of an ideal family. A family who really take good care of each other in good or in bad times. It has a lot of lessons we can gain in this story. This is very inspiring. Thank you for this great review.

Certainly a unique story--caring for a WWII vet while blogging and catching the attention of potentially unsavory elements. Thanks for the review!

For some reason, I thought of Little Women. Maybe it's the financially struggling family amidst a political war. After reading the book, I know it's completely different but maybe it has the same vibe?

I'm glad this is such a captivating and attention keeping book. Sounds really great and your review makes it sound even more so. I'm also glad it's not totally political. Thanks for sharing your review with us.

Now that so many of us are caring for elderly parents, any help, information or insight would certainly be welcomed. Also the challenges of inter-familial relationships is explored. Thanks for the insightful review!
