Review of Janie Lee Ligon's Recipe for Revenge
Janie Ligon's husband says he's met someone else he loves and is filing for divorce. Janie won't take this lying down and plans to retaliate. To what extent does she go? Janie Lee Ligon's Recipe for Revenge contains the answer.
Janie Lee Ligon's Recipe for Revenge chronicles a woman's ascent through corporate society, her divorce, and the extent she goes to exact the retribution she believes is rightfully hers.
I consider Janie Lee Ligon's Recipe for Revenge a unique book. Its plot is entirely original. Let me clarify: while each book is unique, most books I've read typically take a cliched plot and give it a unique twist. Janie Lee Ligon's Recipe for Revenge has a storyline I have never read before, and the narrative is masterfully written.
The book was fascinating and captivating. I was unable to put the book down once I started. Fiona Fieldston narrated the tale so captivatingly that it was almost impossible not to fall in love with the plot. I also enjoyed how the story was written because it was so simple and didn't drag on excessively, making it easy for me to understand and follow the primary idea of the story.
In addition to the story's intriguing writing style, the book's unpredictable nature and the unexpected turns the author included in the narrative also won me over. There was no way I could have correctly predicted the story's conclusion while reading. The two most unexpected twists for me were the eventual outcome of the relationship between Hannah and her father and how Daniel's fate ultimately turned out. I wouldn't give much detail to avoid spoilers. The unpredictability of the narrative also led to a buildup of suspense in most parts of the book. I could only anticipate future events. Everything contributed to making reading much more enjoyable.
I have no issues with the book. It is professionally edited. On that note, I give the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. If you're a fan of books based on revenge, I recommend this book, as you'll love it.
