I don't know how I feel about there not being a description of what Penny looks like. I don't think it is always necessary and can allow the reader to come up with the look on their own. I completely agree about the writing style. I kept thinking prose.

Awesome review. It isn't for me but I do enjoy fantasy genres. This sounds like a book that would make me crazy not to know what Penny looks like.

After sampling the book, I find this aspect to be ingenious. It allows the reader, any reader, to identify with her without barriers.

Very nice review, thank you :)

I kind of like the idea that the character's appearance is not described. Sometimes I think authors go overboard with their character descriptions. I'm impressed that you read the book twice. You must have really liked it. Thanks for the great review!

Wow, bluemel4, you did a fantastic job writing this review! I sampled the first chapter of the book and then read your review. It almost seemed to me like you had the same style of writing as Marta Curti. Congratulations to the author for a riveting book, I look forward to reading it.

You make this book sound so enticing! I love books that have an artistic writing style and the ticking clock element sounds like a perfect way to keep readers on the edge of their seats! I will definitely get around to reading this.

In All Things by Marta Curti looks very interesting in that it has a very poetic flow to the writing, and about a wonan's son who is growing up in the world. I give thumbs up on this review as I enjoyed that it did not give too much of the plot away.
