I don't know how I feel about there not being a description of what Penny looks like. I don't think it is always necessary and can allow the reader to come up with the look on their own. I completely agree about the writing style. I kept thinking prose.

Awesome review. It isn't for me but I do enjoy fantasy genres. This sounds like a book that would make me crazy not to know what Penny looks like.

Penny’s identity seems to be a mystery even to the reader. Her facial features, hair color, eyes, and race are all missing, which made it difficult to picture what she looked like.

After sampling the book, I find this aspect to be ingenious. It allows the reader, any reader, to identify with her without barriers.

I kind of like the idea that the character's appearance is not described. Sometimes I think authors go overboard with their character descriptions. I'm impressed that you read the book twice. You must have really liked it. Thanks for the great review!

In All Things by Marta Curti looks very interesting in that it has a very poetic flow to the writing, and about a wonan's son who is growing up in the world. I give thumbs up on this review as I enjoyed that it did not give too much of the plot away.

This must be a wonderful book to read. Penny Rose sounds like a warm hearted earth bound women that will sing to your heart. I love this review.
