Review of The Littlest God
What I loved most about this novel was the author's writing style. He made Reuben Ortotzo an amusing character because, being a four-foot-ten-inch judge, he found it difficult to perform ordinary tasks like sitting on a chair. I found it funny that Reuben Ortotzo would have to slide down from his chair whenever he wanted to leave. Another point I loved about this novel was the relationship between Reuben Ortotzo and Doris, his wife. At first, they didn't start well, but everything changed when he joined the judges at the California Supreme Court. He was loved and cared for genuinely by his wife, Doris, and she was not annoying anymore and she stopped giving Reuben Ortotzo a hard life.
There was absolutely nothing I disliked about the novel The Littlest God by Barry Kohl; the novel was exciting, amusing, and not tedious at any point, despite the grammatical errors I encountered while reading. Every chapter of this novel had something to offer; it kept me in suspense when I read it, anticipating to know what next lay in the preceding chapter of the novel.
I would give this novel a rating of 4 out of 5 stars because I enjoyed the novel and I didn't find the novel to be tedious at any point. I deducted one star from this rating because I found numerous grammatical errors while reading, but despite that, I did enjoy reading the novel
I would recommend this novel to readers who love reading books in the political, crime, romance, and comedy genres, as these are themes employed in the novel by Barry Kohl. I would also recommend this novel to older readers as there is some usage of profane words in the plot of this novel.
