People would think Zeus would have learned his lesson after spending ten solid years behind bars for being caught with cocaine, but no, he didn’t. Instead, he planned and strategized how he would dominate the streets of Miami even while in the prison cell. On the day of his release, he put his plan in motion. He collected some of the money he invested, thanks to his uncle, and put it into his drug business. He partied and spent money in clubs with his family, known as the “Family of Gods.” This helped him draw in a lot of clients and also helped him build connections.

Bolt felt threatened by Zeus and his team, and he went ahead and destroyed five of Zeus's "trap houses." Zeus was so angry about it, and he and his crew destroyed ten of Bolt's "trap spots" beyond repair. Bolt was shaken up by the event and swore to get his revenge. He decided to get a lot of money from Zeus. So he decided to abduct Zeus's girlfriend, Destiny, and Jocelyn, Reel's girlfriend. Did his plan come to fruition? Was he able to get the money? Or did Zeus and his family save the queens?

This book has an exciting storyline. The story was just getting started when I thought it was coming to an end. I thought the story was going to end at the part where Bolt considered abduction so he could get his money back. The story also had fascinating characters. The author didn’t only develop the main characters of this book. Other characters were developed, even if not entirely. This helped me to understand and follow up with the story. For instance, I learned about the “Top Hustlers” even though they weren’t the main characters in the book. I also learned about the lives of the antagonists. The themes portrayed in this book were also admirable. Destiny stayed loyal to Zeus during the time he spent in jail. The love they had for each other was genuine, even though Zeus was into drugs. Zeus was portrayed as an intelligent character. He carried out his operations and missions in a meticulous manner. I love the way Zeus's team carried out their operations in a coordinated way. Zeus treated his team well, and they also got paid very well because I didn’t read about where any member of his team decided to be disloyal to him. This was something I loved about Zeus.

I found so many errors in this book. They interfered with the way I read the book. The author didn’t only make mistakes in the sentences or words in this book; he also made mistakes in the names of the characters. It is either he is misspelling the characters’ names, or he is mixing up their names. For instance, Caesar and Battmon were constantly misspelled in the book. This was something I didn’t like about this book.

This book was not professionally edited because of the number of errors I found in it. Therefore, I rate Gods of Miami by Antonio Knowles 4 out of 5 stars. I deducted a star because of the errors which I encountered while reading. I didn’t deduct any more stars because of the positive aspects I stated above. This story was really easy to understand because the author made use of simple terms. I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy and romance fiction as this book contains explicit sexual scenes.
