Review of A Pocketful of $20s
A Pocketful of $20s by Madelaine Lawrence is a lovely work of fiction for women about having a positive impact on others around them and making wise decisions in romantic relationships. Lynn Price, an ED director in North Carolina, is experiencing both the greatest and worst of moments in her life at the beginning of the novel. Her male companions seem to always bring the firsts.
Her conversations with the five strangers she gave $20 gifts to over the Christmas season, however, were what made those moments the best of times. The practice of handing away $20 bills was started by Lynn’s mother, Dorothy, but since she was too old to carry it on, Lynn decided to carry it on in her place. Most frequently, those who struggle to support themselves or their families are the ones who receive this gift. With all these responsibilities, Lynn is surprised to have caught the eyes and interest of two handsome men. The problem is, who will she choose?
A Pocketful of $20s by Madelaine Lawrence was a gem, and I’m delighted I read it. It is complete. I was attracted by the book since it had well-rounded characters, a great story, a storyline that was appropriately organized, and a good pace. I truly can’t think of anything wrong with it. I was very smitten with this book’s characters. They were all unique individuals with personalities and voices that I could identify with. Lynn, the primary character, was my favorite. Her strength and selflessness are qualities I appreciate.
I thought it was very beautiful that despite her relationship issues, she still went on to assist people in need. Even after parting ways with her long-term partner and despite occasional sexual attempts, she was able to continue to support those in need, whether or not they were aware of their need for assistance. It’s understandable why two men had a strong attraction to her and waited impatiently for her to break up with her controlling partner.
I also liked how the author presented her tale. It was straightforward and uncomplicated. The book was enjoyable to read because of the incredibly smooth pace and the way that every element of the tale was connected. This book provided nourishment for my soul. It was really lovely, and it had a huge impression on me. I learned a very valuable lesson from this book that I will always treasure. It demonstrated to me the power of even the smallest act of assistance.
With all pleasure, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There was nothing to dislike about it. I encountered no errors; it was perfectly edited. I recommend this book to readers who like books about the influence of a good heart. If you are a fan of fiction, this is for you.
