Most people lose direction in life once they enter jail. They lose purpose in life and give up. It's tough for them even to earn a living. Some criminals, however, get lucky and still find purpose and can make a reputation for themselves after jail, whether good or bad.

John Woods is sentenced to forty years in prison for arson. He luckily escapes by sneaking into a helicopter owned by Mr. Acid and Mr. Binary, who offers him a job in exchange for their lives. He is involved in many robberies and relations with several women. He, however, loves Jez. He gains popularity and even forms his tribe. Mrs. Acid saves John from Mr. Eagle and his tribe, and he is presented before Mr. Acid. John kills Mr. Acid and his wife because Mr. Acid has relations with Jez. Several other persons die, including Jez. John also becomes known as Darkwoods and is constantly pursued by the Beast. Find out more about John Woods as a tribe leader and mafia boss in The City of Coffins in the fictional book Lucky.

The book contains one hundred and twelve pages and is written by Spare Time Novels. It is divided into twenty-six chapters. The book is narrated from the first-person point of view. Every chapter has a subheading that summarizes and hints at what that chapter entails.

There are several things I liked about the book. Firstly, I enjoyed the storyline, and the characters were lovable. John Woods, the book's protagonist, escapes from prison and soon becomes the head of the strongest tribe in The City of Coffins. He encounters several near-death experiences but luckily survives them all. Many love him because he aims to improve the Island and pays his workers well. His methods of attaining power are brutal, but his intentions are pure.

Secondly, the author employed interesting nomenclature, which made the book fun. Characters had several exciting names, such as Mr. Acid, Mr. Binary, Mr. Eagle, and Beast, among others. John nicknamed the island "The City of Coffins," which sounded cool.

I ravaged the different pages to discover what I disliked about the book, but all in vain. It lived up to my expectations, and the events collaborated well. I, therefore, rate this book four out of four stars. The book seems to have been professionally edited since I encountered no errors. I recommend this book to lovers of crime and thrillers because it involves several criminal activities such as robbery and murder.
