Entanglement- Quantum and Otherwise is a convoluted thriller, crime and mystery novel that illuminates the impact of the actions of one person in others' lives. John K. Dannenbarger gives us a single timeline involving the lives, hardships and stories of multiple characters entangled with each other to give a realistic glimpse of human life.

Eight flawed characters entwined together through a web of lies, betrayal, secrecy, abuse, murder and much more. A book about the complex human nature of families, relationships, mistakes and imperfection, Entanglement- Quantum and Otherwise revolves around a few generations, in different time periods.

Entanglement- Quantum and Otherwise is not an average plot-driven novel. It is a character-driven novel whose lives are entangled with their actions and reactions. The depth of each character and the intricate plot is written in a splendid and compelling manner. There is no single main character in this story, but each character is equally important. The layout of different characters' lives and time periods is fascinating.

The obstacle of writing multiple characters while maintaining the plot line and giving each character his/her own voice is difficult. John K. Donnenbarger made sure to make each character unique and their presence felt without derailing from the plot.

There are many characters in this story that cross each other's lives numerous times. It is extremely important to keep track of each character, otherwise, the plot just goes away from you.

Sometimes the descriptions and statements are long-winded and distract from the actual meaning or situation. Occasionally, it became tough to keep up with all the characters and their individual stories. I had to go back and read incidents and sometimes full chapters again. But, with some focus and concentration, it became easier to keep track of everything while enjoying the intricate prose.

All these efforts are tiresome but definitely give us the sweet-sweet fruit of a clear picture of the puzzle that is this novel.

A marvellous read with exceptional prose and insight into the complexity that is human life, Entanglement- Quantum and Otherwise is a literary work imparting plenty of life lessons in the simplest of incidents. The scientific aspect of the novel was not something I understood, even though the author tried to explain advanced science in layman's terms and its importance in everyday life.

Therefore, I would like to read this book 3 out of 4 stars. It was a unique and intriguing read. Even with the complex plot, this book was amazing prose that I would love to read again some day.

Entanglement- Quantum and Otherwise is a captivating read of thrilling and dark prose, with mystery, crime and realistic representation of life, tangled together. I highly recommend this novel to the fans of literary fiction and thrilling crimes.
