Rescued, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a western murder mystery novel that revolves around John Thurgood Thomas, popularly known as JT. One morning, as JT checks on his horses outside his cave hideout, he spots a lone wagon moving slowly through mud some distance away. Three women were tied to the wagon, and they looked as though they had been captured and tortured by the five men surrounding them.

Without thinking twice, JT springs to action and manages to save the three women. However, there is a fourth woman who JT only discovers as he gets close to the wagon. Assuming he must have missed her while he was surveying the wagon, JT offers to help all four women and to lead them to safety. Unbeknown to JT, he may have just gotten himself into big trouble by saving these women. Will he manage to come out of this alive?

All in all, the book was an enjoyable read for me, as there were many twists and turns in the plot. The fast pace of the plot also made sure that I did not get bored while reading. Furthermore, there was something exciting happening in almost every scene, and that kept me entertained throughout. Moreover, I found Rescued to be well-written and easy to read.

The one thing I liked most was the subtle humor included throughout the book. There were so many scenes that made me laugh out loud, and this added to my enjoyment of the novel. I love it when I get to laugh and enjoy myself while reading, and Rescued was just that kind of book for me.

Nevertheless, I had one issue with Rescued. The main character, JT, had things a bit too easy, and it almost felt as though he could do nothing wrong. This made the character a bit unbelievable. Although he had his struggles, things went really well for him for the most part of the book. Honestly, I would have loved to see him struggle a little bit more to achieve his goals.

Considering the aforementioned points, I rate Rescued4 out of 4 stars. The minor issue I had with it was not enough for me to subtract a star from the rating. Also, I believe the book was exceptionally edited, as I found no errors in it. However, there were a few vulgar words and a mild erotic scene. Lastly, I would recommend it to lovers of murder mystery novels.
