This book was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn’t put it down. I agree it covers so many important themes and has such interesting and developed characters I lost myself in its pages. I would add that the author has a way of writing human trials, devastating and cruel, which somehow leave the reader feeling empowered by the characters’ resilience; particularly, for me, with the female protagonist. An excellent example of how story telling helps a reader unravell complex life issues and learn through the experiences of the characters.
