I love that they give their daughter a pagan name instead of a Catholic name, it sounds like the author really sets the scene for an interesting story to unfold. thanks for the review, it sounds like an interesting read. and congratulations to the author J.Ahern for being Book of the Day.

This is not my usual genre, but it sounds interesting, particularly with young June's psychic abilities. Exploration of the dynamics of her family and her relationships with her sisters and parents also sounds well put-together. Thanks for a nice detailed review!

Eh. I’m not sure if this one is for me. I just don’t like reading books with religious themes, even if they are small. There’s got to be a pretty good hook for me to want to read it and while the psychic abilities do sound interesting, I’m just not sure if I’d really want to read this one. Thanks for writing a review!

Struggling to find an identity and feminism taking root in the 1950's is something I would like to read about. From the compelling review, I'm convinced that I should add this book to my list.

Good review. This seems like a book that is beautifully written. I love the emphasis on a strong will.

It's tough when your family and society resist your supernatural abilities. Interesting storyline. Thanks for the review.

This book is a very good read. Love the characters and being aMom can identify with Carhy. It also gave me an insight of two beliefs I have always thought about but didn't quite understand. More books like this please!
