Wriley wrote: ↑30 Apr 2019, 11:06 I want to read this book. I'm from rural North Alabama and grew up in the 70s and 80s but I've heard stories from my parents that I find similar to the review. Even growing up much later than Deuce, I can actually relate in ways such as the "bless your heart" phrase which isn't exactly a compliment. I like that the central character is Deuce and the stories don't jump from character to character. Nice review that makes me want to read Southern Fried.
I'm happy to hear it! Thank you for checking it out!
I can also say I easily use the "bless her/his/your heart" phrase often!
