I am not a big fan of historical fiction so I will probably pass on this one, but I enjoyed your review. It was informative and well-written.

Wow the author does a great job, I like everything about the first chapter. Especially when I was thinking Matt was going in to trouble when he found that he was smuggling guns and bullets, but he smartly change everything and leave the job.

Matt is a great pilot who didn't wanted to risk his life for his job. What a great story

Upon entering the giveaway to receive this book and reading the description provided by the author, I was not thrilled to begin reading. However, after reading the review given, I’m more inclined to begin reading the book and going through the journey with Matt in the time period set.

Sticks in the Clouds has an interesting character in the form of Matt Lavery, and his desire to experience a romantic life in the late 1900s generates curiosity.

This book seems to focus on the turn of the 20th century, which is really appealing. The love interest, along with a high-stress career, may be of interest to readers who enjoy suspense and action as well. Congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

I will ponder on this book. Your review gives us a good look at Matt's ability to make ethical decisions, but I was hoping for more action I think. Great review

A book with valuable life lessons. Matts decision to stop being an indirect weapon smuggler was a humble choice, considering the economic climate. Thanks for your straightforward review.

This sounds like an interesting premise. It's interesting that the book appeared to start off as a suspense novel with the gun on the plane but eventually became a self discovery journey book with major historical events being described. Great review!

I like that this book is majorly about how Matt is navigating his life. It will also be nice to learn about Cuba's history. Nice review!
