I'm not certain how I feel about When Pigs Fly: A Journey Home. I'm from Cincinnati, and the flying pig is like our mascot. If you travel throughout the city, you'll find flying pig statues in different areas. I thought it was neat that someone decided to make a story about flying pigs. It at first was whimsical and light, and had adorable descriptions of the tiny flying pigs. Then, the flying pigs are talking, and no only are they talking, but they are discussing religion. I'm not certain if the cute flying piglets are an adorable way to introduce a novice or child to religion, but I would need to read more than the sample to form a solid opinion on this book.

I am really happy to hear you are a cancer survivor and thus relate to this book in a way more personal way . I find the title of the book weird though and had judged it poorly because of this but your review has changed my mind

This is a fictional story on the journey of the protagonist, Nicole, after her death and the comfort she finds in the loved ones she has. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars and loved the unique way the story was written. The onlinebookclub review was written masterfully.

I was always very curious if their is any life after death. This book maybe not the answer, but without shadow of doubt sounds very interesting. I will definitely take a time to read it.

At first glance, this seems to be a book intended for children. However, it is actually a heart touching story of a young girl who passes away from cancer.

Rarely, do we find a book that affects us as profoundly as it did you.
Thank you for the amazing review.

It is a good thing I read your review. With the title and the confusion of the first few pages of the book I wouldn't have gone back to read more of the sample. I was already lost, what is up with this little girl? Are pigs actually flying? Is she dead?
Then I read your review and was curious. So it was cancer. Then your desire not to write a spoiler. All made me want to read a bit more about these flying pigs. :D

Thanks for the review. "When Pigs fly" I expected it to be a book for children. Reading the review I realized it to be an emotionally heavy book. I currently want to read something light and humorous so will save this for later.

Excellent review. I liked the title and the cover right away. Sounds like a book that I would be interested in. I am interested in what the author says. The fact that it has no religion, when talking about death I don't know if I will care for it too much but I'm willing to try it out.

I really think this book is very good. I am glad the gospel gets told. I don't quite know what to make of the rest of the story, but I think it is okay.

Many things was on my mind when I was reading this book: My Mother in-law was a Twin and they both have cancer both the Twin Sister survived and my mother in-law dead. This book really brought so much painful memories to me and I also wonder what life after death could look like.

It sounds like this book has the potential to have a major impact on people. My mom has cancer right now, so I can also relate.
