I really hope Carly becomes way more powerful than Adam, and he learns how to respect her for it, instead of having a tantrum about not being the bestest person in the room. I really can't stand him as a character.

Yes, I think she has major powers for sure. But I think she will also suffer emotionally due to this merge.
Yes, I think she will too.
Yes if you are given major powers then there should be some catch.

What are your thoughts, based on this book, for the future of the Saga? Do you think it will get better? Will Adam continue to change or be brought challenges, do you think his past or anything will test him to go back and challenge his mental health?
Will Carly become someone different or be challenged by her new future?
Thoughts or ideas??
I think that the next few books will mainly revolve around Carly and Adam's "relationship" with a few ups and downs that will most likely result in a "love conquers all" type thing... I would hope that Adam's past would come back to haunt him but I am not sure the author has any interest in holding him accountable for his actions, nor in dealing with his mental health... I'm not quite sure if I will read the next books...
I really hope they focus more on plot rather than the relationship, as their relationship is not quite enjoyable.

That's one of the things I am most curious about (the result of the merging) - I also feel like the next book will be just as frustrating haha
Yeah I don't mind as long as they give us great twits to keep you guessing.

I hope for it to get better too. Especially the plot twists.

It would be interesting to see them deal with being more powerful in their own right... might cause some competition/strife between them.
Can happen but I can't say I am a fan of that subplot.

I think we will get better action scenes for sure. Better plot twists was something I liked in the first book so I thing there should be more. I really find Adam unpredictable. As for Carly she definitely has a huge burden of saving the Desendants!
I'm really, really hoping that the content in the next book is a hell of a lot less disturbing than what was in the first one. I won't be reading the second. I can't stomach it. The first book was a massive turn off for me.
I can understand that. This book explored topics many find uncomfortable or simply the main characters were not worth investing in!

Yeah, that's true. Carly was good when she wanted to be. Her choices though leave her in not a great spot.

Ugh... the prospect of reading a whole book about their gag-worthy "love story" just totally turns my stomach. I'm hoping in book 2, Adam chooses NOT to chloroform and kidnap/basically murder another woman and pretend nothing happened, and maybe he could start treading Carly with some damn respect, instead of being obsessive over her and trying to micromanage her life.
I hope their "love story" just fades off. The story should contain more significant developments in the thriller section. And progress the story with Iksha more.

Carly now having her mother's powers should really go up in the ladder in terms of power. It should be great to see some sensible decisions from Adam as well.

I think the saga will get better. For example there are qualities about Carly that are enabling and forcing him to enhance his interaction with other humans or animals as he refers to them. That is to say the flavour of the perfume Carly wears, her simplicity and other traits we are yet to discover. Adam wanting more privacy from his mother, indications he did not have before.

Yes true, I think Adam got over his incestuous feeling. But still, his character remains pretty much the same.

I know what you mean! Even when he became somewhat nicer after meeting Carly he is still not my favorite character!

Yes Adam was quite stupid and disturbing I think and that is not a character of a YA that people generally invest upon.

Yeah, exactly. I don't know how this book got put in the YA category. I felt it was not appropriate for young adults, and especially for teenagers! :confusion-shrug:
