I had not understood that story well nor liked it but the author's retelling made me appreciate the passage more and understand it better.

The story of Daniel was one that taught strength of faith and the resilience and determination to never waver from one's beliefs. It s an excellent selection for your favourite passage.

That's a tough one- I would probably have to say when Hagar prayed to God in the desert for her son's life and He answered her. It says nowhere in the Bible that she was an actual Christian like her master and mistress, but she obviously had faith and trust in the Lord.

That is an interesting story to select and probably shows that God hears the prayers of all.

This was an amazing passage that highlighted God's love and mercy. It did not matter Hagar's religion or beliefs, she prayed to God in need and was answered.

I liked the story of Abram because he lived in a time where everyone was turning to worship the false gods of Egypt, but he chose to stand strong in his faith in God. I respect him for being strong in his beliefs because it can be easier to follow the crowd than stand true to what you believe in.

I really enjoyed the one about Cain and Abel. It was a story I had always had interest in and many questions for and I felt it was described almost in a new way to me that I truly enjoyed and appreciated.

But a close second was Daniel in the Lion's Den.

I enjoyed reading about Daniel and the influence he had while being held captive in Babylon. Because he was able to interpret the king's dreams, he and his friends were given favor. And even when the Kings did turn on them by throwing Daniel in the Lion's den or the others in the furnace, they miraculously escaped death.

My favourite passage was the parting of the red sea so the Israelites could pass through. That shows me that when we desperately need it the god's help will come and that he's always with us

I like the episode on David and Goliath since childhood, although I have read the story from classical books, not from the Bible itself. But brace yourself, there is a new viewpoint about this story -- one that says Goliath, the giant, is the underdog. I should have dealt with it here, but I will not spoil it for you. This overview, I am telling you about, is a medical perspective about the story. Google it, or find it on Youtube.

My favourite passage is Genesis 12:2, the title of the book itself. This is because it tells of how God turned an individual into a great nation.
