Cynthia was so far out of her depth for the majority of the novel it wasn't a question of her finding herself in dangerous situations so much as her actively seeking them out. Action and danger do help to make a good book but having it constantly come into play made me so frustrated I want to give up barely halfway in.

The mistakes one commits always become moral lessons that we learn instantly and under look or lessons one does not back on in-order to think of a way forward . Cynthia might have been reluctant about some issues given the fact that she spent moments thinking about her relationship with Dan , Sky and her job being the Chief of Security for Senator McBride. Hence , emotion versus responsibility.

I would not say that I found the book thrilling. I could not understand why Cynthia was so keen on the country's security and terrorists. Also I could not understand why she would havesex with a total stranger if she was this keen about terrorists and was fighting against them. I expected her to suspect anyone new in her life than that and maintain safe distance before knowing them.

I wonder if the author intended to raise the tension in the story through Cynthia. Honestly, it did nothing to the story. If anything, it diminished Cynthia's professional merits. It also made her look clumsy and dimwitted.

I never felt any real sense of danger because of the choppy plot structure. I think if it was a pure mystery novel, the danger may have been more powerful in the plot?

I think you should be saying she kept putting herself in danger due to her lack of common sense. For a high profiled detective and investigator she was so weak and careless.

Didn't see her as a protagonist , she didn't set any good example and as a protagonist, is suppose to be strong enough to show the readers good examples.

It's a fictional book so the author wrote based on his imagination I can't say much about it.

It rather made the book more frustrating. Cynthia was not worthy to be the protagonist in this book. This book require a protagonist with intellect, lesser flaws and more of virtues. But this were lacking in Cynthia case

I never really felt she was in danger. It was realistic from the author writing her that way.

I did not see it as she was getting into trouble it was more like her careless kept messing thing up for her. Who could have thought a high profiled security agent would be so unstable and naïve. Nothing about Cynthia got me thrilled.

I found nothing wrong with her being the protagonist. She was exceptional and well grounded.

Cynthia must be smart to work for the Senator, but no one is without flaws, which is why it is a challenge for them.
