I found the book inspiring and captivating. The courage and team spirit displayed by the sailors is what I liked the most. There was a lot going on but I think the author did a great job with the overall flow. My overall opinion is a 4 out of 4 stars

Well, I've not read the book yet. But, soon I'm gonna read it, as after reading its review, it sounds much like the movie, Battleship (2012) by Peter Berg, to me, which is 1 of my favorites. On ther hand, the intense scenes in the book is what intrigues me the most.
A wonderful book and a cup of black tea in my hands make my day joyful! :tiphat:

I loved the follow through from Strong Heart. I am definitely a huge fan of books like this, and this one lived up to expectation.

I really liked the way Sheldon would go from first person to third person narrative seamlessly. There were a lot of characters in the story, I was pleasantly surprised that it was not confusing at all.

There were times when I was completely on the edge of my seat, shouting out loud, "Oh my God, OH MY GOD!". I'm surprised no one in my family came running in to find out what was wrong! It's been a while since I have read a book that had me shaking and trembling and crying.

This was one of the best books I have read all year. If I could rate it 5 stars I would. That's how much I loved this reading this book. Unfortunately, my review was "counted as complete, but not published". A little upset about that.

I loved the book and I gave it four out of four stars.
I really loved the storytelling through characters which made me understand the character's perspective more efficiently.

Could someone change the title of this thread? Adrift has become drift :)

This was one of the best books that I have read. The characters really came to life for me. I liked the way the author used different plots for some of the characters, and then brought it all together in the end. I thought I was going to have a hard time keeping everyone straight. The book just flowed together just right. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars. I am looking forward to finishing Strong Heart and learning more about Sarah.

My experience from this sea adventure book was that of an exciting read. Sheldon's writing in Adrift was simple, clear and engaging. The plot is realistic and the characters are well developed. I understand Adrift follows another instalment of the series titled Strong Heart and I'm hoping to indulge myself with it. Adrift gets 4 out of 4 rating from me.

One of my favorite books so far. I am so glad I decided to to give this a try. I was adamant at first because of theme (I am intimidated by the maritime jargon), but I there was only minimal use of technical terms, so hurray!

Very interesting book.
The cover page of the book alone proved it really right.
I loved the adventurous and suspense-filled moment it created..

I always love a book with great character development. I believe the characters really make the story relatable and realistic. Adrift is very strong on this aspect and I loved the story too. The author's knowledge about ships and sailors just makes all the more fascinating.

I haven't yet read this book. Although it's on the top of my to read shelf, it keeps getting displaced by books needing reviews. All the reviews are so positive of "Adrift", I'm really anxious to sit down and enjoy it!
